Do you feel like the world is ending?
I wouldn't blame you—between global disease, the threat of oppressive AI overlords, and the looming possibility of WW3. But what if I told you there's a silver lining?
That silver lining is the global health and wellness movement happening right now.
We're witnessing a global awakening. For the first time, everyday people are exploring ways to holistically improve their health.
Twitter/X has exploded with tech entrepreneurs obsessed with improving their health. Influencers like Bryan Johnson and Andrew Huberman are gaining massive followings.
On TikTok, Gen Z is diving deep into health topics and dramatically reducing their alcohol consumption.
Instagram is... well… it's still just hot people selling sea moss and scammy vitamin gummies.
But I've got a bone to pick with this trend. I know how that sounds—how could I possibly have a problem with this? I'm seeing too many people fall into the overthinking trap, and tech founders are the biggest victims.
Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic to see a community that has stereotypically neglected their health making positive changes. The issue? Founders are obsessing over health-guru protocols like limiting blue light exposure, timing their coffee intake, and measuring nighttime erections—all while still looking like Chip from Napoleon Dynamite.

Sorry, that was a low blow. And to be fair, Chip was too busy getting babes online to work-out.
I have massive respect for Huberman and Johnson—they're helping millions of people. But they're in the top 1% of human performance. They're more like Olympians than average people. We often forget that Olympians train 8–10 hours daily to increase their performance by just 1–3%. Sweating the small stuff is literally their profession. 😉
This is why it doesn't make sense for someone who hasn't worked out in 3 years to obsess over ice baths and morning sun-gazing. Sure, if they have the time, great. But most people are constrained by both time and discipline.
For someone starting from zero, what's easier:
Work out for 30 minutes per day, 6 days per week
Start your day with a cold shower, wait 1.5 hours to drink coffee, stare at the sun, then work out for 30 minutes per day, 6 days per week
Obviously it's #1—but not for the reasons you think.
Switching to cold showers and delaying your first cup of coffee masquerade as small changes when they actually require compounding discipline. When I try to optimize too many things, I end up defaulting to the easiest item on the list just to feel better.
Let's say I have the following daily health goals:
Get a 30-minute workout in at the gym
Complete a 10-minute mobility routine
Eat 2,500 calories with a 40/30/30 split of protein, fat, and carbs
Sleep 8 hours
Wait 1.5 hours after waking to drink coffee
Stare at the sun (I'm sorry, this one always makes me laugh)
Remember, this is a separate to-do list from life commitments (family, work, household chores).
So what happens? Life kicks you in the teeth: kid gets sick, work becomes a gong show, you go blind from staring at the sun—and you try to feel better by knocking off at least one item. Usually the easiest one.
Now, I'm not trying to shame anyone, but if someone's built like Mike Wazowski, will daily cold showers move the needle? Or would crushing a daily 15–20 minute workout?
That was a rhetorical question.
As I previously wrote, one of the biggest drivers of becoming healthier is identifying as a fit person. But, similar to bankruptcy, you can't just declare "I AM A FIT PERSON" and have it happen.

There are, however, two ways to build your identity as a fit founder:
Create the daily habits of a fit person

idea of the week 💡

Problem: Designers get vague client feedback ("make it pop") that causes endless revisions and scope creep.
Idea: FeedbackFix — a "feedback translator" that turns messy emails or annotated screenshots into crystal‑clear, actionable design tasks. Examples: "Increase headline contrast by 40%" or "Add 20px padding around CTA." Auto‑creates trackable tickets with effort estimates.
How it makes money: $79/month for solo designers or $25 per project. Agency tier for teams, integrates with Figma, Asana, and Trello.
Why it might fail: Habit change and incumbent PM tools. Win by nailing translation accuracy and tight workflow integrations.

if you’re not in M&A… this tweet will mean nothing to you. If you are in M&A you will either love or hate this tweet lol.
Oh, you just heard Buffett doesn’t like EBITDA? That’s adorable. You read one quote in a shareholder letter and now you think you’re Jim Simons.
Lemme guess — you go around telling people ‘EBITDA isn’t true earnings,’ huh? That depreciation is real and we should all be looking
