the worst excuse I hear for NOT working out
The WORST excuse for not working out, three types of workouts designed for busy parents, and how involving your children in your health journey creates a powerful legacy. Plus, an AI-powered neighborhood connection engine for local businesses, and why a glass of wine is perfectly compatible with a healthy lifestyle.
"Just wait till you have kids"
I'm honestly tired of hearing this excuse. Even though I don't have kids myself, I know it's a poor justification for skipping workouts.
If anything, having kids should motivate you to exercise more. You now have dependents who physically rely on your health and strength.
You know who never used this excuse? My dad. While I already sung his praises enough, he never cited my brother and me as reasons to skip a workout.
In fact, my dad bought a running stroller in the 90s (pretty sketchy by today's standards) so I could become his human push sled.
When I turned 11, we started working out together. It became a valuable bonding experience.
So if you're considering using your kids as a flimsy excuse, don't. To help you out, here's 6 no-excuse workouts for busy entrepreneurs that take 20 minutes or less.
The hard truth is that you're likely prioritizing comfort over health. Like watching game replays with a beer instead of crushing a 15-minute bodyweight workout at home. Remember: the saying isn't "soft times make hard men."
Tired of me shaming you? Here's the good news: you can have both.
You can enjoy some "me time" - even if that means hiding in the bathroom watching YouTube for 5 minutes while your kids knock on the door. Just do it after completing the quick 15-minute home workout.
Better yet, involve your kids in your exercise routine. There's nothing more powerful than children watching their parents commit to self-improvement.
At least I know this was true for me.

problem: Most small business owners waste time on generic marketing when their best growth opportunities are right in their local community.
idea: "Neighborhood Connection Engine" - An AI-powered outreach system that transforms how local businesses build authentic relationships in their community. It analyzes business profiles and local market data to generate personalized outreach campaigns that connect businesses with nearby customers, partners, and referral sources that make sense for their specific business.
how it makes money: Tiered subscription model starting at $49/month for solo entrepreneurs (targeting 10-20 new local connections monthly) and scaling to $299/month for multi-location businesses with comprehensive community mapping. With 3,000 paying customers already, that's $2.5M+ ARR.
why it might succeed: Growth through strategic partnerships with Chambers of Commerce, business improvement districts, and industry associations who already have the trust of ideal customers. The platform does what LinkedIn can't – understanding local business ecosystems and creating messaging that feels personal, not corporate.
why it might fail: Potential difficulty in scaling personalized local intelligence across diverse markets. Customer acquisition costs could be high if small businesses are skeptical about another marketing tool. Building trust in AI-generated outreach materials might be challenging for businesses that value authentic communication.

tweet of the week
me writing this while drinking a glass of wine - I COULD NOT AGREE MORE!
A hill I’ll die on: You can have a few drinks with friends and still be a healthy person.
