finding your life’s purpose from the man who started 75+ businesses
A 75+ founder’s approach to finding purpose and fulfillment (without the existential crisis), fixing commercial leases, and a scientific chart of explaining flow state.
Chris Koerner has started over 75+ businesses with a few creating generational wealth.
I also suffer from a crippling entrepreneurship addiction (still working on the generational wealth part).
But what's more interesting about Chris is his love for the game. Here's a sample of some of the YouTube videos he's made:
He featured a family in Missouri selling pizzas from a pop-up stand with a $700 pizza oven and a $100 canopy. They make $700 per day with 80% margins, which translates to about $30,000 a month or potentially $200,000+ annually.
Or his tree trimming business that he started with a college graduate partner. Despite having no chainsaws (they subcontract everything), they're now generating $500,000 annually. They quote customers $1,600 for jobs that cost them $800, effectively marking up subcontractor quotes by 100%.
If you're more of a stump guy, Chris also started a stump grinding business. The entrepreneur he partnered with made $300,000 in his first year with 60-70% margins by serving tree trimming businesses that didn't want to handle this aspect themselves.
While he may suffer from being a serial entrepreneur - you know what Chris doesn't suffer from? The self-imposed existential crisis of trying to figure out his life's purpose.
Instead, he's put his life mission (outside of caring for his loved ones) into a simple box: finding product-market fit for new ideas.
That's what gives him energy, even if it's building a 'Secret Pickleball Club' in his backyard and only charging $100/month.
Meanwhile, many people (myself included) struggle with the meaning of our work. Do I need to help uncover the cure for cancer to do meaningful work? Do I need to build the next SpaceX to become a 'legitimate' entrepreneur?
It's great if that's what you want to do, but we don't all need to become Elon Musk (could you imagine lol).
I've been fortunate to discover my personal mission early in life. As I believe one of life's greatest callings is entrepreneurship: creations that push humanity forward. By supporting entrepreneurs and accelerating their progress, I find myself springing out of bed each morning with a clear sense of purpose.
Don’t overthink it, every second counts.

idea of the week 💡
Credit: Idea Browser
problem: Commercial landlords waste hundreds of hours on lease abstractions and CAM (Common Area Maintenance) charge audits through error-prone manual processes. This results in lost revenue and inefficient use of staff time.
idea: Lease Intelligence Platform - An AI-powered SaaS solution that transforms complex lease documents into structured data, identifies errors in CAM calculations, and generates accurate tenant bills in minutes instead of weeks. It integrates directly with existing property management software.
how it makes money: Tiered subscription model ranging from $199/month for smaller portfolios to $2,499/month for enterprise clients. For mid-sized commercial landlords (50-500 properties), the system recovers an average of $50K in missing CAM charges per property annually, creating immediate ROI.
why it might succeed: Perfect timing as real estate AI search volume has grown 326% since 2022. The platform expands beyond CAM reconciliation into a complete lease intelligence ecosystem with automated lease abstraction, variance detection, tenant billing automation, and compliance tracking.
why it might fail: Requires deep industry partnerships for integration with existing property management software. May face resistance from established players or property managers reluctant to change their processes, even if it means leaving money on the table.
